Cabela's Retail, Inc is hiring an Assistant Sales Manager for the Gun Counter at our Retail Showroom in Rogers, MN. This position is a critical link to our customers. This is an exciting opportunity for all outdoor enthusiasts.

This position's duties include:

• Supervises daily activities of retail store personnel to ensure efficient retail operation.
• Supervises daily activities of retail associates by assigning work, checking work for accuracy, and analyzing and resolving work problems.
• Recommends and initiates personnel actions such as promotions, transfers, disciplinary measures, employment, and training for associates and all other retail personnel to ensure efficient store operation.
• Maintains computers and registers by counting and opening drawers, making change, ringing voids, maintaining vault, and running opening and closing computer procedures.
• Solves customer problems by taking appropriate action.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by management

This position requires:

• High School graduate or equivalent plus one year specialized training.
• Six months to one year previous retail experience also required.
• Also requires continuing education demonstrated through research, field testing, and reported findings which are used as a basis for future product development.
• Management training or experience preferred.
• Knowledge of company products, policies, and procedures.
• Skill in operating retail computerand cash register system.
• Skill in operating various office equipment such as: adding machine, copy machine, and facsimile machine.
• Ability to create an efficient retail environment with minimal supervision.
• Ability to make sound decisions using information at hand.
• Ability to communicate with employees and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner.
• Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects.
• Ability to effectively function as a team player.
• Must be a Customer Service oriented team player and have the ability to pay close attention to detail
• Must be able to work the following: at least 3 out of 4 weekends a month; any day, including holidays; opening and closing shifts
